Before we tell you about the leadership team of SBC we would like to pay tribute to all the many unseen people whose continual sacrificial service enables church life to blossom.

Baptists, by nature, involve the whole membership in decision making. However, day by day the church is run by the team consisting of the Pastor, a Youthworker, Elders, Deacons, Homegroup Leaders, Youth and Children's Work Leaders, Office and Maintainance Staff.

Minister: Reverand Ian J Beedham, Pastor Ian, or just Ian
Age: 50-mind-your-own-business years old.
Place of Origin: Leeds, Yorkshire
History: Came to faith at 15 years old, then learnt to read. Ian worked as a butcher, baker, wages manager and ran his own business as a florist whilst waiting to fulfil his calling to ministry, which he received soon after conversion.
Height: Too short for his weight.
Favourite Hobbies: Rollercoasters, cooking for large numbers and avoiding food shopping,
Role: Prayer, preaching and teaching, vision-seeking, leadership by example, caring for the family.

Youthworker: Michiel Bruggeman
Age: Almost mature
Place of Origin: Belgium, Heusden
History: My parent became Christians when I was 11 years old.
Height: 1m 83cm in morning and 1m 82cm in evening
Favourite Hobbies: Sport, learning new skills, anything a little odd
Role: Relevant Communication of the Christian faith to Children and Young people, discipleship and outreach.

To aid the smooth running of church life, a team of Elders, together with the minister, oversee the day-to-day decision-making. The Eldership primarily look after the spiritual welfare (teaching, pastoral issues, overall direction) of the church.
